We worked with COAHS to design and develop a website that serves as a hub for research, recommendations, and case studies—helping spark the imagination of academic institutions, employers, and policymakers. The design is hopeful, accessible, and highly practical: a site designed to inspire action. Bright yellow meets confident blue. Real-world photography brings the ideas into context. Elegant typography adds gravitas while remaining approachable. And animation and interaction help the site feel alive and evolving.
One of the core ideas COAHS brought to the project was the need to challenge the notion of a linear pathway after high school. For most Americans, the traditional four-year college experience is just one of many possible paths. We developed a graphic and animation that brings this idea to life, visualizing the many directions education, work, and service can take. It became a core conceptual device across the website and companion communications developed by COAHS.
It was critical to connect content throughout the site, recognizing that visitors may arrive with different questions, needs, and levels of familiarity with the subject. Research connects to recommendations; recommendations lead to promising practices; and related content invites visitors to explore further—building a deeper understanding of what’s possible and how to move forward.
